A Magical Misshap

I have a critique group on another blog and they had some really valuable ideas on how to make my illustration A Magical Miss hap much stronger. I would also like to thank my friend Larry for his help on critiquing my artwork and noticing that I spelled quiet wrong.

So this is going to be my ad for the Directory of Illustration book. I like to post art here and look at it for a while and see if there are any changes I should make to the work.

Baby Girl Monster

Yes, in less than a month baby Harpster will be here. Don't know if it's a boy or a girl, but regardless, the room decor is baby monsters.

Yeah, it makes no sense...but it was fun to work on.

My Studio

I just love seeing the studios of other artist, so I thought I would share my studio space. It's in the basement of my house, but it works really well. Just wish I had a window that I could stare out, but maybe it's better I don't.



And these are my office helpers. The lab loves to bark while I am on the phone.

My friend Tony turned 40 this week and to mark the occasion I painted him at what he does best, losing at poker. Ha!

And here is the finished cover for the new The Three Little Bots book. Basically the three little pigs, but way cooler and more fun.

Here are the character that I settled on. They're not too different from the original book characters. I just wanted to revamp the whole series for a new launch. The books have become a cult hit.

Zombie

Awww, it's a cute little zombie. I was looking around on Deviant art when I came across Bryan Baugh's gallery and was blown away. Here's a link to his Deviant site LINK. Very cool retro monsters. The kind of stuff I love but never get a chance to create. So here's my shot at the walking un-dead.

Comic book guy

I never saw a guy that looked exactly like this, but I have been to enough comic book shops to see this type of character. Nice guy, quite, sort of interesting smells and not going to say two word to you.
