Remember that terrible horror movie "Critters?" Just and awful movie. Well here is a sketch that turned out looking like one of the creatures from the movie.

Ice Scream Monster

This is a piece that you can see progression on over time if you have been checking this site from time to time. I have been working on and off on this piece for over the past year and half. Not non stop...just opening it up and working on it for a while and then coming back to it a month later and working a little more.

Busy Busy Busy

Gee whiz, this summer is just crazy busy. I have no time for personal projects at all right now, but I was able to turn this out one night with what little spare time I have.

This is a more finished monster from my drawing book "Drawing Monsters With Letter. This Monster is Arrgor and you use the letter A to draw it's face...hard to see it in this advanced version, but if you have the book you'll know.

Still have to add some more fur effects and little highlights, but I am very close to done with this dude. I heard an artist say that details are the exclamation points to the piece, so don't add to many or the interest will be lost.

So the members of my critique group in the Illustration Board had some really helpful hint about this illustration. One of the things no one seemed to like was the little girl, so I completely changed her. Always remember that an illustration is never really finished.
